Diopsys® VEP tests use a technology called Visual Evoked Potential (VEP) to objectively measure the functional responses of the entire visual pathway from the anterior segment of the eye to the visual cortex. Diopsys offers eye care professionals a new way to help treat amblyopia and also help patient with brain injury; concussion etc. With current technology we no longer need to "patch" with certian cases, this offering patients with more options and ease of care. This continuing education course will feature live demonstrations of the Diopsys® technology focusing on vision therapy and head trauma while offering 1 hour of Washington state credit. Specialty Contact Lenses for Irregular corneas and myopia control as widely used in our office and both Dr. Charissa Young and Dr. David Kading specialize in fitting patients with theses needs. Specialty contact lenses have changed some patients' quality of life to a degree where they can continue working and continue with their passionate hobbies. With Myopia increading year to year we see some very irregularly shapped corneas that pose challenges to our standard fitting procedures. During this CE we will explain the different challenging cases we have faced and how to appropriately fit these patients while offering 1 Washington State CE credit.
